I'm about to move some things to the condo and maybe finish painting what I can in the kitchen. Those of you who are helping tomorrow, make sure to be at Gina's parents' apartment at 8:30am tomorrow...the address is in the email I sent. Thank you so much in advance.

Tomorrow is the big moving day. Should be interesting to see how everything fits. We'll have to stack loads and loads of stuff. But, thankfully, this is far more permanent than an apartment, and that's good. I'll probably be dead-tired afterward, but everyone should go to Nick's show...I'm going to go for at least a little while. I'd like to hear this thing they call "music" and "band." Talk to Kim about time and location... :)

Otherwise, I'm going to be sparingly without email for a while...I'll be able to check at work, but that's about it. I won't get my DSL at the condo until the end of the month.

So that's that for now...big day tomorrow. Big day.

Dogs are certainly interesting creatures. At least Kazak is.

He's a smart dog. He knew when I picked him up that he was leaving. He whined a bit in anxiety the whole way home from Bolingbrook, but he wasn't too antsy. He was just happy to be heading back "home," wherever that was now.

When we walked in the door to the condo, he immediately took the tour of the place. I followed him as he walked nearly around the perimeter of every room, getting his bearings. He went through every door, including the bathroom doors, except for the second bedroom door, in which the light was off. Then, once he got the lay of the land, he plopped down on his bed, which I had put in the middle of the condo, more or less, and relaxed most of the rest of the night. I slept with the bedroom door open, in case he wanted to be in that room with me because it was an unfamiliar territory for him, but he slept out on his bed the whole time.

It's just amazing how easily adaptable he was to the situation. I just hope it lasts. :)

Kazak and I officially move into the condo tonight. He'll be sleeping on his bed. I'll be sleeping on my sleeping bag on the floor. Who gets the better end of this deal? Jeez... :)

Saturday is the big moving day. We get the U-Haul truck for five whole hours. Bunch of idiots. I hate it. That said, we need all the help we can get, and we'll be speed moving. If you didn't get the email and want to help on Saturday morning (starting at 8:30), email me privately and I'll give the details. I didn't have some of your emails handy (they're on my CPU at home). There will be pizza at the condo once we get there, around lunchtime hopefully.

Otherwise, I need to get back to work.

Aside from the edges, the living room/dining room and hallway is finally painted. We also got the first coat on the two bedrooms. It all looks pretty damned good. Hell, it's better than plain white walls.

Wednesday, I'll be moving in, more or less officially, since I'm moving Kazak in and I'd rather not leave him in an empty, new condo all by himself. It'll give him some acclimation time...

Saturday is moving day. Any help anyone can give would be immensely appreciated. We'll start around 8:30am....pizza will be served at the new condo after we load up the truck at Gina's house and the storage facility. If you can help, email me and let me know...I'll give you the directions and whatnot. Even if you can help for an hour or two, that would be great.

Otherwise, there's still painting to do: the bedrooms and the kitchen. Also, there's other wonderful improvements that need to be done. But at least those are pretty small in comparison: replacing faucets and bath fixtures, buying a new backdoor lock combination and installing it...other stuff I can't think of right now.

So for now, that's about it. More as events warrant...
