--You know what, P.R. people can kiss my ass. I tell you...they're nothing but a bunch of pieces of shit. Today, I got an email back from one of them saying I didn't attach the right file to an email to check the information in a paid advertisement we put together for them. This email I sent yesterday basically laid down the ultimatum, saying it needs to be in NOW, tomorrow morning at the latest, or it runs as is. So in the message, this person gets all indignant, saying, "Therefore, I suggest you attach blah, blah, blah" You know what? Fuck you. Maybe if you would have gotten things to me when I requested them two weeks ago, we wouldn't be up against an impenetrable deadline.

But I bet she'll call me next week to get her client into some story as a source. Bitch asses.

--In better news, somewhat, I'm off to Vegas in a couple of hours. Granted, it's for work, but I can't imagine I won't be able to squeeze in SOME time hanging out, doing maybe a little gambling, etc., etc. I'm just hoping to get some good free time on Thursday to meet one of my PFW friends and his buddies at the Mirage sportsbook to catch some of the tourney. That would be sweet. But I'm trying not to get my hopes up, because if I do, I know my superiors will come with a "we have to go to this cocktail reception or dinner or entertain this advertiser" or something like that, and the evening will be roughly shot. So we'll see...I'm back on Friday, and I probably won't have Internet access, unless Mandalay Bay has a business center...which, I guess it probably does, but who knows for sure?

--For now, I have some work to wrap up and packing to do, and then it's off to da airport...see you all sooner than later! Have a great week, in the meantime... :)

--Well, all I have to say is, good thing it's not July, or we'd have quite an interesting story. I just hope that the cyclone doesn't destroy too much...they said the Great Barrier Reef was right in the path of the storm, but I'm no marine biologist, so I don't know if that would damage the reef at all, ya know? I hope not. For those of you not in the know, we're going to Australia for our honeymoon, making stops in Sydney, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and Cairns. Cairns is being hammered by a cyclone (or hurricane, if you're not wise to the Pacific reference to a cyclone). I'm not worried, it just figures that they haven't had a hurricane in decades, I believe the story said. But, at least we're not there... :)

--Can I just say how unhappy I am with Target right now. We need a desk, so we were going to use our gift cards from Target and some money to get them. Kudos to Target for trying to ease the cost of carrying their entire supply of desks in stores to save money, and only offering them online, from a business standpoint. I can understand that, and I have no problem with it. But a big fuck you to them for not finding a way to ease shipping for its customers who choose to purchase things online and save them money. For a $99 desk, it costs $68 to ship. I understand it's a heavy thing and all that stuff, but you know what? Good customer service would be to take the money you're saving on having a customer buy the thing online and affirm your business decision and maybe work out a behind-the-scenes deal for shipping to ease the burden on your customers. So, basically, we don't know what we're going to do about this now...obviously, we'll figure it out, but it was a bit disappointing, I guess.

--I've gotten away from the 50 percent regret rate for the wedding, but overall, we're posting about a 30 percent regret rate, so we need more attend RSVPs, dammit! :)

--Otherwise, it's back to work tomorrow, and then off to Vegas on Tuesday through Friday for work (and, hopefully, some play on Thursday night--my buddy from PFW is going to be out there and plans to be at a sportsbook to watch the games--hopefully I'll get to join him and his friends!)...in other words, another hectic week ahead...but that's become the norm.
