It's times like these that I wish I did something more truly useful with my career than I do.

So, this has been a pretty bad year in terms of the health and wellness of some people around me. However, cancer continues to stalk me and those around me.

The latest: One of my two very best friends from my time in Missouri (they married each other) I just found out, is about 98 percent certain he has cancer. Supposedly, it's one of the "better" cancers to have, in that it can possibly be taken care of easier. But still...this guy is only a couple years older than me, for Christ's sake.

Furthermore, I've gotten disappointing news about a couple other cancer-fighting friends and family members over the past few weeks/months (my Dad is OK though, for those wondering)...

So there you go...these are times I wish I were a doctor or chemist or whoever would potentially discover the "cure" for cancer. Rather than some idiot journalist.
