--154 days. I know, it has been awhile.
--Let me tell you...invitations SUCK. My life has been consumed by invitations and trying to figure out what to do about them. It sucks. But, hopefully, we will soon be done with them. And, at least I have almost everyone's addresses on my list. That's a good thing...
--The last thing I posted was a questioning of the Aaron Rowand trade for Jim Thome. At the time, I questioned it. BUT, now that they've re-signed Konerko (thank God!), I can say that this has the makings of another amazing offseason for the Sox. If Thome can stay healthy, look out. :) Good luck to Rowand, of course...he will always be one of my favorites, no doubt.
--And what about those Bears? :) Wow...these guys are making the 2000 Ravens look balanced. Jeez...and the scariest thing is, the NFC (regardless of Laz's posts) is weak as hell this year. Any of these teams could come out of it. Of course, only to get spanked badly by the Colts, Broncos or Bengals in the Super Bowl. Do I think the Bears will make it? Let's be realistic--I can't say I think they will...but, with their defense, the offense (as evidenced the last three games) doesn't need to do much at all.
--Work has been busy as hell, but that's a good thing. When I can go to work, actually do editing and writing, which I enjoy, and look up and see that, oh, it's lunch or the end of the day, that's a very good thing. Because I can't stand sitting around and waiting for things or spending the day doing stupid menial crap all day. I can do this...especially for the money. ;)
--I finally got all the songs off my CDs that I want onto my iPod. It's 1750 songs. With room for another 3,000 or so. Don't think I'll fill it before I turn 40 years old...but stay tuned, right? ;) I purchased my first couple of songs on iTunes, and it's far too easy to do, so I have to be careful. But it's nice, because I can buy a song or two off an album if I choose, which is great. Cannot complain about that at all.
--Looks like I'm going to beat my brother in one fantasy league for the top record, which is great, because you get "rewarded" for a lot of things in this league, making it plenty worthwhile. I'm just hoping my holy triumvirate of running backs--Shaun Alexander, Rudi Johnson and LaMont Jordan--hold up through the playoffs. I'm going to need them all the way if I'm to get that far. In Ghetto Bowl, I was happy to help Steve toward winning the Reggie Bush Sweepstakes by beating him (it looks like it, at this point, anyway), but for the most part, I'm on the fringe again. And I'm on and off in the playoffs in the other leagues I'm in. But hey, who here really cares about that, right? :)
--So, for the moment, that's all. We have our Christmas tree up (though only with lights on it right now, not decorated), which is a good thing. Festive. Very festive. And really, that's about it, I guess. I'll be seein' ya... :)
