--Finally got some time to upload the Halloween party pictures. Here they are, for your enjoyment, of course:

That would be Gina and me. I hope I did it right.

--So it's Friday night, and I get to relax. How nice. :) What's new with everyone? Anybody got anything cool on tap for the weekend?

--Man. So I went to bed pretty much immediately after that post last night. I needed it, let me tell you. So I feel better today...

--Happy Birthday to my cousin, Will, who I don't believe reads this, but those of you who give a rat's ass and have his email can email him a Happy Birthday. Or something...

--We got good news the other day. Gina's friend Pat, who is standing up in our wedding, is finally, finally, finally coming home from Iraq at the end of this month. He's been there the bulk of two or three years now, only getting a little bit of time off here and there to return home. He's a great guy, and he is finally going to come back here and maybe finally be able to stick around. Plus, he's a Cub fan (and huge baseball fan), and I haven't been able to talk shit to him since he's been in Iraq...OK, I won't do that, but I *will* expect a congratulations from him. :)

--Laz, should I officially give up hope that you discovered that wager ticket anywhere and that I'm out $20 in reality, but $220 in theory?

--In wedding news, Gina and I are going to check out a trolley for the wedding this weekend, among other tasks. Hopefully it's nice. I can't imagine it wouldn't be, but who knows for sure until we see it. After the transportation, pretty much all the major things on my side of the equation are finished, sans the honeymoon plans. We're still thinking about Australia, but we'll have to see for sure. The nice thing about Australia in July (which is when we'd be going) is that it's winter (though still pleasant weather), so it's off-peak, for the most part. But other than that, Europe is still very much on the radar. The key is squeezing it in between all the weddings we have next year and all the happenings surrounding them. Shouldn't be difficult, but we shall see for sure, ya know?

--Well, I should get back to work. I have more than enough to do around here, so I should get to doing it. But first, what the hell is this word verification crap? I'm not buying tickets...stupid pain in the ass processes!

--Ahh, what a crazy, busy, silly, pain-in-the-ass week and more it has been. Comes with the territory of being promoted to a magazine whose major show (which happens every other year, it's that huge) comes up right away. I spent Wed-Sat downtown at a convention for at least 8 hrs. every day, walking the floor (though Sat. was half that). Combine that with my White Sox winning it all, and I'm cashed. I mean really, I'm walking tired. Not that none of you have ever experienced that...but I'm just sayin', that's where I'm at.

--The adjustment to the new gig has been pretty OK so far...lots to learn, mostly on the fly too. Such as finding/assigning and paying f r e e l a n c e writers. That's something I've never had to deal with. But, like I said, so far, so good. We'll see how it goes, of course. :)

--For now though, I'm going to keep it short and sweet...I'm sorry for that, but I can't even think of anything really intriguing at the moment to talk about. But, soon I'll be rested up again and vivacious as ever. :)
