Another excellent link...though I may be the only real person here who would enjoy it. It's from The Onion. It reminds me a bit of my former workplace, the Springfield News-Leader...though we were much bigger and better...but there were elements mentioned in this article that mirrored the ol' News-Leader. Enjoy!

Even though you all hate Christmas, go to Buccaneers.com for this week's game preview...they do some sweet stuff every week with the site's intro.

Ugh.
Here I am, at work...I got a good night's sleep with the help of generic-brand Nyquil liquid capsules, but of course, I'm still tired. I have a semi-full day ahead, though I have, for some reason, no idea what I need to do today. It's like, I know I've got a lot to do, but I don't know what it is yet. Quite frankly, today is the day I feel more like Christmas shopping than working. But I guess I'm stuck here.
After work is the PFW holiday party, which ought to be cool. Don't know how much, if anything, I'll be drinking and eating though...we'll see how I feel.
Hmmm, what else?
Oh, if you haven't checked it out yet and have cable, watch VH1 at 8pm central. They have a show all this week called "I Love the 80s," which has been pretty cool. I'm not a huge retro kind of person, but this show has been pretty cool thus far. Each night they're doing one year, reviewing the hottest pop culture stuff. Last night they did '84 and '85, and highlighted (relatively briefly, albeit) Transformers, Care Bears, and some other things...it's pretty cool...tonight is 1986 and 1987, so if you jump on now, you'll catch the tail end of the decade. It has been interesting so far though...

By the way, you can check out my latest PFW column, and hear all about my trip to Green Bay at Pro Football Weekly.

Enjoy...

Well, I stayed home sick yesterday and slept in until about 2pm because of it. I felt pretty bad...then I went to a couple stores around the house attempting to do some sort of Christmas shopping...see, when I'm sick, I like to rest early, but then force myself to get out of the house and do something, even if it is just to go eat or something like that. Usually it helps me feel a little better, which it did yesterday. I washed the dishes from the previous night, which was amazingly easy--no mess at all, since I soaked them overnight.
I think I might just leave my furniture as is, with the dining room table and chairs out and "in use." It's kind of nice. Though, as I told Luis yesterday (who came over to watch 24), the danger is tossing stuff on the table, because it's in an area where that would be easy--to just walk in and leave stuff there, soon creating a messy pile. He said I should make it a point to make sure the table is empty every night before I go to bed. That's an idea; we'll see how long it lasts.
Today I still feel minorly miserable, but I can tell the cold is in remission, if you will...I got to work super late, too, which probably isn't good. I got only a marginally late start because of my miserableness, but traffic on the Tri-State was at a standstill, literally. So I decided to go around the mess, which kept me moving, but still took time. Better than sitting in a parking lot.
Now I'm waiting for our free lunch from one of our shippers...I don't know...they say, lunch is on us, I go eat, say thank you to the guys there, don't ask questions and return to my cubicle, pretending to work while I eat free food.
Tomorrow is the PFW holiday party, which should be a good time. It usually is. In the meantime, maybe I'll do some shopping again tonight...we'll see.

My throat still hurts.
My dishes are dirty and soaking.
My furniture is temporarily out of order.
And I am too.
So I'm off to bed.

Ahh, screw it...I originally had a pretty miserable blog here, but I decided against it and wiped it out.
Basically, I feel as though I'm getting a cold, it's hot as hell in the office here, I ran out of deodorant this morning, I probably will lose in my fantasy football league that I'm still alive in and I just want to go home right now. :)

Other than that, I'm happy. How about you?
