Well, since I haven't posted in awhile, I figured I'd drop a quick note on here while I'm at work, just to say that, hey, my Internet's actually up and running again at home. It turns out that something happened to the modem, and on a whim Gerard unplugged it and plugged it back in, and suddenly it worked. So, thankfully, AT&T Shitband wasn't fully to blame...though they are still idiots...

More later, on presents and such...when I get home of course...

This is the thing I hate about working Sundays...first off, it's Sunday. Secondly, I go through these stretches where I kind of sit and twiddle my thumbs practically. I hate being at work and not having anything to do. If I'm here, I want to work.

Anyway, a quick recap of the last few days' events...
First off, my Internet connection is down, and it's not my computer, because Gerard's isn't working either. Happy Holidays from AT&T Shitband.
The PFW holiday party was pretty cool, though I found myself often on the edge of the group just kind of trying to listen in and get involved in conversations, but it just wasn't happening. Oh well...no big loss I guess. Donna seemed to have a good time, which is always good. I started out just drinking soda, but switched to beer later. I drank Blue Moon, which I've had before...it's a nice wheat beer that usually is kind of expensive. I hadn't had it in awhile, which didn't faze me until I woke up around 4am with really, really bad heartburn and a stomach-ache, and it was clearly from the Blue Moon. I only had two pints, so I wasn't drunk or hungover...I guess it just didn't agree with me for some reason...or something didn't.

Yesterday we had the Pacer family (my mom's side) Christmas party at my parents' house. It was nice to see Lynette, one of my cousins from Texas, and her little girl Jordan. She's three years old and really a cute kid. Some kids can be annoying if they talk a lot, but Jordan's not. She's very nice and well-mannered for a three year old. It was good to get a few presents...the rest will come on Christmas, of course.

Donna leaves for Iowa again tomorrow, and I wish I could go with her or she could stay here. I realized I've never spent a Christmas with her. Isn't that odd? Our pseudo-seven-year anniversary of dating will be Jan. 21, and in seven years, we've never had Christmas together. We'll have to work on remedying that in the future, because I don't like it. I wanted to take time off work this week to go, but of course, they won't let me because it's a short week to begin with. Sucks ass.

In the meantime, I'll be wrapping up my shopping tomorrow, before the super-mad rush of shoppers...I only have a couple of things to buy. Then I'll wrap presents, something I am subpar at. I mean, I get the damn things wrapped, and they look OK, but really, it's a struggle. I'm a perfectionist, so to me, I'm subpar. I guess so long as the things are covered up, that's all that matters, right?

Kazak's eye growth seems to have subsided a little bit...I'm hoping it goes away sooner than later so I don't have to worry about it. Also, I'm really liking having the dining room set up in my living room...for those of you who have visited my place, I think you'll like this setup better...but that's just my thinking.

Otherwise, everyone have a Merry Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate, and if my Internet connection gets back up and working at home, I'll post more often.
