Almost 90 degress tomorrow AND a back-to-back double-header in softball. Hell YEAH! :)

It feels good to win. And to be THE key contributor to that win. My Friday night 12-inch men's league team just started up this year...it's a collection of guys who either (a) haven't played together before or (b) those who have haven't played 12-inch before. So, suffice to say, we'd been getting our asses handed to us. But we understand that growing pains tend to happen.
Well, we got our first win Friday...a 6-5, comeback win. I pitched seven strong innings (which typically happens) and my defense held up big-time behind me. The difference too was that I was able to keep hitters off balance--I had GREAT strike-zone command. You may think, "Dude, it's slow-pitch," but ask anyone who REALLY knows how to pitch in slow-pitch, and they'll agree with me. And, I'll say this, there are few out there who REALLY know. :)
Also, I went 3-for-3 and drove in the game-tying and game-winning runs with a single and one-base error by the right-center fielder. We were down 5-1 with our last raps on tap, and we put together four singles and my hit to win the game.
This after going 3-for-4 with two walks, five runs scored and a few RBIs in my Tuesday men's 12-inch league--we won that game 22-10.
My Thursday co-rec work league game, I'd rather not talk about...we're sliding a bit in that league, but I think it's because people are not playing as loosely as we should be playing...everyone's trying too hard, rather than just having fun. So, hopefully this week, we'll go out and forget about all the b.s. and just have fun.
Yesterday, we had party #2, for the folks who weren't able to make the surprise party...it was less attended, but fun nonetheless. Even more importantly, I got AWESOME bungalow-related shirt from my good friend at work! I love it! I absolutely, 100 percent love it. :) It's perfect. It's so perfect, I almost don't want to wear it and want to just hang it or frame it or something...seriously. :) But you'll all have to wait and see it some time. :)
So, anyway, that's about it for now...we're plugging away on house-related stuff...waiting--only one week until we head out for vacation in San Fran...a much-needed relaxation time, and our first anniversary celebration delayed by almost two months. :)
