Here's a good one for all you "24" fans out there...
Gina and I are switching our car insurance policies to Allstate, which our condo is under, for discounts and pure ease. The spokesman for Allstate, as you know, is Dennis Haysbert (President "Pedro Cerrano"). So we switch to an Allstate office west of our home, and we're transferred to an agent. Can you guess what this agent's name might be?








Mike N o w i c k (in Polish, which is probably the heritage of the name, the "w" would be pronounced as a "v" for those who don't know). Too funny. I asked him about it, and he laughed...he does watch the show, so he knew who I was talking about, and he thought that was funny too.

There is your pitiful humor for the time being.

So, we're back.

And it's 3:30 a.m., I'm awake and hungry. Jet lag sucks. That said, I should fall asleep the minute I hit the pillow, since I've been up since early "yesterday" morning...didn't get much sleep on any of the flights back (three of them, a total of about 27 straight hours spent in planes or airports to get home).

In short, Australia's pretty damned kick-ass. We got a good glazing-over look at the touristy things (Sydney Harbor/Opera House, Ayers Rock/The Outback, Great Barrier Reef, etc.) and had a great time...more later...and maybe I'll have to open a Flickr account for the, oh, nearly 300 pictures we have...we'll see.
