--89 days.

--I'm a child of the '80s. I listened to the occasional "heavy metal" of the day, and liked quite a bit of it. Yet, where on God's green Earth was I when "Kickstart My Heart" by Motley Crue was out? How the hell did I miss this song?

Maybe it's because I wasn't an album buyer then--I recorded songs off the radio, and that was good enough for me. I got the songs I knew I liked, and that was enough. Maybe it was because I wasn't a big fan of Motley Crue's songs that I'd heard, so I didn't investigate. But, damn, after the couple of Sox games I went to this year, I really started to like the song--they used it as the music for the highlight reel once a game. Let me tell you, blaring out over that sound system, it was sweet. But it's even sweeter blasting out of my iPod and my CPU speakers. Sorry...had to share. "Kickstart My Heart" is awesome.

--Hey, cut me a little slack. I worked until 7:30pm today, so I'm a little out of it. That said, I feel pretty tired, so I'm heading to sleep soon. Have a great Wednesday, everybody! :)

OK then.

--90 days (and officially inside the three-month mark now...)

--Well, come hungry, folks, because the food is damned good. We kept it pretty straightforward, except for dessert, although that's still not a shocking thing, just something marginally, and I mean marginally, different. We were quite impressed, particularly with the filet mignon. You guys will be well-fed, no doubt about it. Hell, the 4 different soups we tried were freakin' delicious...we should have just had a four-course, soup-only dinner. :) So, be pleased, as you will be able to create a nice base for all your drinking fun later.

--This week will be "work late" week...we're on deadline for the end of the week, and there's, as usual, quite a bit to do. But it probably won't be as terrible as January...but we'll see for sure.

--How about them Steelers? And I won the fourth quarter in my work pool, so I'm a little bit richer right now. That won't last. :)

--I'd have to say, the commercials were pretty good. Doesn't everyone work with a bunch of jackasses? I bet that was the original brainstorm for the commercial, back when CareerBuilder unveiled the Monkey Business, but in those days, ages ago when you couldn't say "jackass" on TV, they moved on to monkeys. Must have felt nice to bust out the jackass joke.

--Now, I'm not a Rolling Stones fan, AT ALL. And, after that halftime show, I'm still not. I like a couple Stones songs, but not more than three, off the top of my head. The rest of it, I just don't get the love for them and their music. But that's just me.

--Hmmm...what's next on the agenda? Well, I'll be assembling the invitations. That's about all there is at the moment, I guess. :) But remember, as stated above: You will eat well (and drink well later!).
