Lazarian format today:

--Saw Transformers movie. Despite going in with low expectations, I left in awe of the animation, but disappointed in the (lack of) plot and the differences between the original series cartoon and the new movie. Still, Megan Fox did make it a worthwhile movie to see. :)

--Saw The Simpsons movie. Yes, it's basically a longer episode of the show on a much bigger screen, but I was pleased with the outcome. Aside from an occasional "this is why I stopped watching the show a couple years ago" moment or two, it was mostly a good hearty laugh and a "I wish the show were more like this again" kind of feeling. Loved, loved, loved the opening salvo. :)

--Been working my ass off around the house lately...actually, I've updated that blog much more than this one, mostly because, well, that's been my life and will be my life for a while now. Again, though, I'm not outright abandoning this blog, of course. :)

--Gina's doing OK...no major "complications" or full-on side effects from the pregnancy...occasional queasiness and whatnot, but now that she can take Flintstones vitamins rather than the one big horse-pill vitamin they gave her originally, she's been better. She'd even started pulverizing the thing and mixing it into applesauce, and then immediately getting sick afterward, even using that method. But I think the Flintstones vitamins have been doing OK.

--I have been looking for a place to source CO2 tanks for use in my aquarium, but can't seem to find a place that is convenient (read, open past 5 pm on the weekdays or open on weekends) or easy to get to. I just upped my lighting on my 38 gallon in advance of this, and now I'm having algae issues, so I need to get a CO2 setup sooner than later. Anyone know of any companies around here that supply that stuff?

--Finally, anyone know a good plumber on the northwest side? Preferredly one that has done work for you, specifically--that if I used them, you'd be comfortable--or I'll kick your ass if something goes wrong. In other words, do you got a guy (Chicagopedia reference) who does plumbing?
