Well, unless the Bears defense/special teams can magically put up 40 points tomorrow, I'm toast (acb, by the way, is in roughly the same boat in Ghetto Bowl...so at least he feels my pain).

This is unfortunate...a worse choke job than a typical Laz fantasy football choke job. I finished the regular season 12-1 and heavily, heavily favored to repeat as champion in one league, only to have everyone except LaDainian lay an egg this week, more or less. This in the first round of the playoffs against a guy whose players magically awakened this week, after really not being all that reliable all year. Oh well, I guess. So, a special thank you to Tony Romo, Corey Dillon, Brian Westbrook, Anquan Boldin, Andre Johnson and Jason Witten. Neil Rackers, thank you for trying. Bears, how about a miracle?

I can take some solace in the fact that I will at least break even on the league, as there is a bounty for different accomplishments, such as best record, division championship, etc. So I'll get SOMEthing, keeping my streak of breaking even or winning money in this league intact at five straight years.

Blog....not....dead....struggling to........regain...strength....must.....live.........on!

Anyway, yeah, the holidays are great, but let me tell you, it really takes a toll on blogging. :) Well, that and work trying to wrap up the end of the fiscal year and all...gotta get everything done on time, for real, this time.

Thanksgiving went great...for those of you who want to cook turkey and "cheat," as it were, I definitely recommend the Jennie-O Oven Ready Turkey. Very simple, quite tasty, and not a complaint in the bunch. So go ahead...

Meanwhile, let's see, holiday this, holiday that...I've got three holiday parties this week after work, a get-together for Bears MNF with coworkers, then Saturday is something, I'm sure, I just can't remember what right now, and Sunday "The Queen" turns 30. So, the schedule is quite full this week, which tends to happen, of course, this time of year.

Otherwise, Gina and I have been visiting open houses (though none today) and doing our "research"...we're waiting for word from one source before we start working on our place...if this person comes through, our "fixing up the place" plans will go from miniscule fixes here and there to something more grandiose (and harder work, but that's OK). Either way, we're aiming for a February/March "on the market" date. That doesn't give us tons of time, but we're not going to overdo it around here anyway.

Aside from that, there is the update...Now, I'm tired from being out until past 3am last night, and I'm a little cranky because my 12-1 fantasy team is currently down 59-11 with 3 guys playing now and 3 to go...so far, it's been a really bad, disappointing week for me with that. But, six players is enough to turn things around, I'm hoping, especially the way my team has scored in past weeks. Again, so I hope.
