Oh, silly me.
I thought when I paid my part of the assessment for the condo, that guaranteed that my sidewalks would be shoveled and ready to go when I got up this morning. Silly, silly me. The sidewalks around the condo were NOT shoveled, except for a very haphazard path from the back door to the parking lot, which I'm sure one of my neighbors probably dug out in a fit of rage. Kazak looked like a snail moving through the snow, because his legs were buried, basically, the whole time. That's fine, on the grassy part, but not on the sidewalk.
Couple that with the fact that the parking lot had still not been plowed when Gina got home last night, and they called around 8:30 to ask us to move the cars so it could be plowed, which was just fine, except that the snow had already drifted around the car so high that I had to be pushed out of the lot.
What, exactly, are we paying for? It all better be taken care of when I get home tonight, or hell will be paid. I don't know if the maintenance man is supposed to do it, or what, but there are already complaints about his job in other areas, apparently, because he's an old man (nice of him), but he's "lost a step," if you will, and "refuses" to give up the post (almost certainly because of the money).
Hell, I'll shovel the sidewalks at 5am if they want to pay me. I have no problem with that...
