You know, for not having gone to the hospital much in my life prior to, say, high school, I've really "stocked up" on trips this past year...
Today, Gina had minor outpatient surgery for a leftover issue from childbirth/aftereffects, for which we sat at the hospital for about 8-9 hours. It was a little longer than expected, but Gina had a slower recovery time than expected. All is well to this point though, and she's home and functioning fine, just hurting. Should be all better in a couple weeks to a month (the pain and whatnot). So, no worries...she'd been dealing with this since about two weeks after A.J. was born, so finally, finally, she got it taken care of after trying every other non-surgical method known to man. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
In other health news, my Dad appears on the fast track to recovery as well. He and my little bro went to the first car show since his operation, and he was able to walk around the entire fairgrounds and drive to and from Kendall County fairgrounds without any problems other than getting a bit more tired than usual. So that's good. I was teasing him (and this would be gross, except that most of you know him and would probably find this funnier than gross), asking if he peed on anyone while there...that's code for, the guy was boring the hell out of you or bullshitting you, so you just let it flow right there (he still has a bag attached...which he hopefully gets removed this week). He said no, but he did tease Eddie about going to the bathroom before the long drive back home, I guess. :) So, his sense of humor is going strong...not that it wasn't before, honestly.
Otherwise, everything's busy as always. You all know how it goes... :)
